On She Speaks Sport today, I am joined by the incredible, professional road racing champion Ashleigh Moolman Pasio. Ashleigh has worn the South African national road racing and time trial jersey a number of times. She has ridden the Tour de France Femme, the Giro, Strada Bianchi, the Commonwealth Games, the Tour of Romandie, and many more.
On the pod, she shares her life story, from dreams of being an equestrian to a tragic head injury that rerouted her life, to the journey of professional cycling. Together, we also discuss the importance of having a supportive spouse, especially as a successful woman.
We also chatted about her purpose and passion, to empower women through cycling, and how she is using the virtual indoor cycling experience to connect with women and change the narrative for women’s cycling in Africa.
